Location
Our event will take place at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT
The morning check-in, keynote, lunch, and some of the oral presentations and professional development sessions will take place at The Anlyan Center (TAC), at 300 Cedar St.
Some of the concurrent scientific and professional development presentations will take place at the Jane Ellen Hope Memorial Building, on 315 Cedar St.
The poster session and closing reception will take place at the E.S. Harkness Hall, on 367 Cedar St.
Travel
By Train or Bus
New Haven Union Station is nearby to TAC (0.7 miles) and provides connections to Amtrak, Metro-North, and CT-Rail, as well as CT-transit, Greyhound, Megabus, and Peter Pan buses.
You may take a quick Uber/Lyft between from Union Station to The Anlyan Center (TAC). Alternatively, you can also take a Yale Blue Weekend Shuttle from Union Station to Amistad & Cedar (2nd stop) and walk a short distance. Yale shuttles operate approximately every 30 mins on the weekends.
By Private Car or Van
Guests may drive and park free-of-charge at 201 Washington Ave (Lot 96), which is next to the event location and is open to the public Friday, after 4pm, and all day on weekends. There is also free parking at 77 Washington Ave (Lot 94). Parking locations are indicated here.
IMPORTANT: Drivers must be 21 years and older to drive other passengers, show proof of insurance on their car, and maintain an acceptable driving record. SACNAS does not recommend students driving other students. Confirmation that you understand this will be required upon registration.
Lodging
Free hotel for trainee presenters!
We will offer 1 night of shared lodging for the night of Friday, April 11 to at least 30 students, postgrads, or postdocs submitting a title and abstract for a poster or oral presentation! Rooms will be assigned first to oral presenters and then based on need (e.g. geographic distance, transportation options, etc.). We are expecting to be able to offer free shuttles from participating hotels to the conference site the morning of the event.
